North Kashmir : Army man slips into gorge near LoC , dies

An army soldier died late Thursday after he slipped into a deep gorge in upper reaches of Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Quoting a police official, local newsgathering agency GNS reported that Naik Parvez Ahmad of 5 Grenadiers slipped into a gorge during a patrol in Turna area of Boniyar near the Line of Control (LoC).

Parvez, a resident of Rajasthan, sustained serious injuries and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital in unconscious state.

However, the doctors there declared him dead on arrival.
