Non-teaching staff in School Edu Deptt having over stay to be transferred

Over 475 such officials have already completed prescribed tenure at their respective place of postings

Srinagar : Following the transfer of teaching staff, the School Education Department Monday decided to transfer the mature stayed non-teaching staff as well.

The department is likely to adopt the Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) type policy for the transfer of matured stay non-teaching staff.

Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) in a committee to Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the region has said that the instructions were conveyed to initiate transfer process in respect of non-teaching ans non-gazetted (Minsterial) staff having mature or over-stay.

“In this context, it is to say that DSEK has perused the data supplied by CEOs with regard to stay list of Junior Assistants working in their respective districts and it has been observed that more than 475 officials have already completed prescribed tenure at their respective place of postings,” DSEK said.

The director accordingly requested the CEOs to take immediate necessary action for effecting overstayed non-teaching officials viz Junior Assistants, Lab Assistants, Lib-Assistants and MTS to comply the instructions of the administrative department and in terms of transfer policy and delegation of powers.

It also said that the compliance report be shared with DSEK office within two days without fail.

Pertinently, on April-26, the School Education Department notified ‘conditional’ process for Annual Transfer Drive 2023.

The Department has said this while issuing the notification for transfer of Teachers, Masters, lecturers, Principals, Headmasters, ZEO’s and equivalents of the department through online mode.

Stating the conditions to apply for the transfers, the department said that the employees having a mature stay of three years and above in Zone-I, II and III as per transfer policy-2023 shall have to compulsorily apply online in prescribed application format
