SRINAGAR: While commenting over the possible alliance of the National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Additional Spokespersons, NC Sarah Hayat Shah said that the party can respond categorically only after an appropriate ‘course of action’ by the PDP.
Sarah took to twitter and said, “People speculating about a possible alliance between NC and PDP need to acknowledge the fact that there has been NO formal or Informal attempt by the PDP leadership to approach us. @JKNC_ can respond categorically only after an appropriate ‘course of action’ by the @jkpdp” .

On the other hand President, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Ghulam Ahmad Mir as quoted by a local news gathering agency said his party (Congress) was ready to join hands with any political party, anywhere in the country that will work for preservation of secularism.
“Let them sit and discuss things. Once we feel they are serious and reach to some conclusion we will definitely support them. Mere preaching won’t help, what is required is practice and action,” he said.
Yesterday senior PDP leader and former finance minister Syed Altaf Bukhari said “This is the right thing to do (to have the NC-PDP alliance) in the present situation when our identity is under attack,” Bukhari said, when asked about the possibility of the two arch-rivals coming together to form the next government in the state, which is presently under Governor’s rule.
However senior National Conference leader and MLA Kangan Mian Altaf said that NC is open to join a joint struggle with PDP on Article 35-A and against rise of communal forces.
