New Delhi: National Investigation Agency filed a supplementary charge-sheet in the NIA Special Court, Delhi against four Jaish-e-Muhammad operatives.
The accused are Sajjad Ahmad Khan alias Sajjad, 27 years, Bilal Ahmad Mir alias Bilal Mir alias Billa, 23 years, Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat alias Ishfaq Bhatt alias Ishfaq, 24 years & Mehraj-ud-Din Chopan alias Mehraj, 22 years, all residents of Pulwama, J&K.
According to NIA, the case pertains to a criminal conspiracy hatched by the senior commanders of JeM to carry out militant attacks in different parts of India including Delhi-NCR. Investigation has established that the accused are members of militant organization JeM, who were planning to carry out attacks and propagating the activities of JeM. The slain militant Mudassir Ahmad Khan was the mastermind behind this conspiracy. He was one of the main conspirators in Pulwama militant attack as well and was killed in encounter with police and security forces in Tral area of district Pulwama. Sajad Ahmad Khan was directly in touch with Mudassir Ahmad Khan. Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat was involved in transportation of Arms and ammunitions for strengthening JeM in Kashmir and further harboured the operatives of JeM. One hand grenade was recovered from possession of Mehraj-ud-din Chopan. The hand grenade was procured with the intention of using the same against the security forces in J&K for snatching their weapons.
Previously, a charge sheet had been submitted against accused namely Sajjad Ahmad Khan, Tanveer Ahmad Ganie, Bilal Ahmad Mir alias Bilal Mir alias Billa and Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat. (KNT)
