New Traffic rules: IG Namgyal says it will take time set things right on ground

Srinagar : As the new traffic rules came into effect from October 01 in Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities in traffic police said that the new rules have already been implemented but would take time to implement it fully on the ground.

Pertinently, under the new traffic rules, no physical copies of documents like driving licence, registration certificate or insurance are required to be carried along if you show digitally prescribed form.

Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Inspector General of Police (Traffic), T Namgyal said that the new rules have been implemented in Jammu and Kashmir as well, but it takes time to implement it fully on the ground as far as digital aspect is concerned.

“The law is implemented, but e-challaning and other things would take time,” he added—(KNO)
