SRINAGAR: Family members of one deceased from a district Pulwama stage a protest demonstration at Press enclave in Srinagar a protest against the police for allegedly hushing up the murder case.
The protesters besides family members include the neighbours of the deceased Mohammad Ayoub Dooie who according to them was allegedly murdered by Riyaz Ahmad Kohli.
The protesters accused police for changing witnesses of the murder case, and including close relatives of the murderer to the witness list. They alleged that the real witnesses were removed from the list.
“There were 23 witnesses in total. The case has fallen under the hands of DSP Farooq (Rajpora) who is trying his best to save the murderer and weaken the case”, the protesting family members said.
They alleged that the DSP Farooq has filed a fake challan of the case in the court. Adding that the murderer is missing in the challan and the witnesses are changed.
They demanded that a special team should investigate the case so that the justice is assured.
The protesters demand justice. They appealed to Director General of Police, Dr Vaid to look into the matter and provide justice to the family.
