Bandipora: Navy personnel stationed close to Asia’s largest fresh lake water body Wulur rescued mother-daughter duo when the boat they were rowing capsized on Wednesday afternoon.
Reports said that Rafiqa Begum and her daughter Laali Jan were rowing a boat when it capsized near the Navy Camp. Shortly after their drowning, the Navy personnel assisted by locals swung into action and rescued both the mother and the daughter.
A police officer while confirming the incident said that the drowning mother and her daughter were rescued by Navy Macros, police and locals.
Two women were rescued by the personnel of navy after a boat capsized in Wular Lake near Zurimanz village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday morning. He said that the duo were on way to Sopore when their boat capsized. (CNS)
