SRINAGAR : A minor girl and an elderly woman died, and eleven others suffered injuries in a road accident in Gurez area of Bandipora district on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses said that the vehicle bearing registration No. JK01F-6330 skidded off the road near Zadikhusi Nallah in Gurez Valley.
Official sources told KNS that vehicle was on its way to Gurez from Bandipora. The vehicle fell into a gorge killing the minor and elderly woman while injuring 11 others.
“They were referred to hospital for treatment. The deceased were identified as Nani Begum and Tabasum jan,” he said.
A police official said that a case has been registered and further investigations were taken up in this regard. He added that among eleven, two persons are in critical conditions. (KNS)
