SRINAGAR: Er. Rasheed today deferred his proposed program to stop the army convoy on Barahmulla-Kupwara highway after getting assurance from the district and army administration that the likewise incident which took place yesterday at Super Naghama would not be repeated and army would be made accountable in future while carrying out movement on various routes of district Kupwara. However AIP supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed condemned the incident and warned army to mend its behavior or be prepared to face the peaceful mass resistance.
In a statement issued today Er. Rasheed said “hooliganism at Super Naghama is the second incident during last two months and is absolutely intolerable and un acceptable. It would be in the own interest of army not to unnecessarily provoke masses , who are already running out of patience due to the state terrorism and in absence of any credible and transparent accountability. Army must know that J&K is a political dispute and they can’t rule at the barrel of gun by simply finding themselves at liberty to kill Kashmiris or hit them with pellets and bullets.
While the law enforcing agencies in the largest state of UP in collaboration with the private army of Yogi Aadityanath, are busy in bulldozing and locking down the business establishments of minority community, the security forces in Kashmir seem to have got much encouraged from the activities of these Hindutva forces in Up and have started feeling it like their religious duty to harass, humiliate, torture and kill Kashmiris. While new Delhi has been accusing Kashmiries of communalizing the Kashmir issue and cries of radicalization within Kashmir, it needs to admit that army and other security agencies hate Kashmiries only for being Muslims”.
Er Rasheed added that he has nothing personal against army or other security agencies but at the same time he is duty bound to protect the life and property of every single person of his constituency and said that he will do everything to uphold the self respect of his people.
