SRINAGAR : Congress state Chief, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, slams Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti over the Killing of civilian in Kulgam Gunfight.
Mir while talking to the PTK, said that the Mehbooba has loosed her grip on the surety forces and other concerned agencies. He said that it seems like that the government is on war against the civilians.
He said that the peace was slowly prevailing in the state post 2016 uprising, adding that if the Mehbooba government will go on using pellets and bullets against the people, how will peace sustain.
He alleged that the Mehbooba is talking about the direction issued to the police and other security agencies just for the sake of securing her own chair. He asked where is the direction of CM followed when dozens of civilians are injured in Kulgam and Hajin Encounter and two other were killed.
Criticizing CM over the compensation of pellet victims of 2016 uprising, he said they will never get the compensation as the CM is passing such statements for the sake public consumption only. He said that her coalition part is not onboard over the pellet victims’ compensation adding that the statements of Nirmal Singh, deputy chief minister are evident to that.
He told PTK, that CM is yet to fulfill its promise of withdrawing the FIR’s against the arrested persons. He says she has no control over the issues adding that whatever she promised, Government of India (GoI) refused that.
