 Medical Negligence of doctors is unbearable: Akhbar Lone

SRINAGAR: National Conference senior leader Akbar Lone while talking to Press Trust of Kashmir said that “Doctors belong to the noble profession adding any kind of negligence from their side changes the meaning of this life saving profession, is unbearable.

He said, “The cases regarding the alleged medical negligence have picked a rapid pace from last few months and it has become a routine to hear complaints on it from every corner of the State”.

He said, that the death of infant in SDH Sopore on 11 August, young man in Kangan and recently mother and newborn baby in LD last night evidences the medical negligence which people are complaining about, may be some higher officers are deliberately giving these alleged doctors free hand to make a healthy sum or saying their chair.

He further said that to extend basic amenities to people is prime job of government led by the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and its coalition partners.

The reports of medical negligence have already come into their notice even they have framed a committee probe into matter is not enough for those who are becoming its victims, a strict action is needed on the ground level to act tough these irresponsible doctors who have spread a threat among the people of being not up to mark to their noble profession.

Mohammad Akbar Lone said that government is claiming to explore all possibilities for leading State to touch new heights of development and prosperity, but on the other side such incidents are shameful and unbearable which need to address as soon as possible to check the precious human lives which become its victims on regular basis.

He advised people to reject divisive and vested elements for State’s development and urged them to play active role for strengthening peace and prosperity in the State.

He further said that issues like repairing of water supply pipes, electric pole and wiring besides up gradation of interior roads and lanes have been left as unaddressed by this sitting govt which adds more the problems of common people.

It is a serious issue related to the lives of people which needs to be addressed sooner and a tough action is required on the ground level against such doctors who perform such shameful acts, he added.
