Mandatory for labourers arriving in need to produce negative RT-PCR report not older than 96 hr: Assistant Labour Commissioner, Leh

Leh, March 6: Labourers arriving in Leh either by road or by air must have a negative RT-PCR report not older than 96 hours before they arrive in Leh. It was today informed by the Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Leh.

As directed by Deputy Commissioner Leh/Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the Assistant Labour Commissioner further informed that labourers who arrive in Leh without any Covid-19 test report would have to undergo seven days’ mandatory institutional quarantine. They would be tested again for Covid-19 and then allowed to work in Leh only if the test is found negative.

Assistant Labour Commissioner, Leh, Ghulam Nabi Tak, also directed agencies/contractors/employers to follow and implement the guidelines, and warned that action would be taken against defaulters for non-compliance of the direction.
