Rajouri: Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse, District Police Rajouri nabbed a man with banned drugs in Rajouri town.
Accused has been identified as Nishad Ahmed son of Mohammad Said , a resident of Kakora village of Manjakote.
The accused drug peddler was intercepted at ITI road in town by an alert team of police station Rajouri under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Insp. Mohd. Shoket and Dy.SP Headquarters Mudassir Hussain, JKPS.
During his frisking, 88 banned Tramadol Capsule and 190 banned Alprazolam Tablets have been recovered after which the said accused has been arrested.
In an official statement, District Police Rajouri said that action against people involved in drugs and narcotics peddling has been prioritised and stringent action against drug peddlers shall continue vigorously .
Police further appealed to the people from all sections of society to play their role in the fight against drug menace.
