SRINAGAR: In a sorry state of affairs in Government Upper Primary School at Pir Muhalla Budshangi of Zone Rajwar in Kupwara District, students are deprived of teaching staff since long.
Students alleged that despite several representations to the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Handwara by their parents, the teaching staff was not provided since long, leaving no option for them other than to stage a protest.
The agitated students along with the locals today locked the school to protest the inattention of official towards the lack of teaching staff in the school, which has taken heavy toll on their academics.
They said that they had four teachers among one was a master grade and others ReT adding that among two teachers were transferred long back, since then no one was posted to fill the staff strength.
Protesting student amid slogans against the concerned authorities and government demands intervention of higher authorities as they said that their academics has severally affected.
