SRINAGAR : After Bollywood actress Sunny Leone’ s recently visit to Kashmir’s Snowcapped Hill resort Gulmarag, the Tourism department is expecting the legendary cricketer Jonty Rhodes visit to Valley.
Sources said that the legendary former international cricketer Jonty Rhodes is all-set to celebrate the upcoming Valentine’s Day with his family at the ski resort of Gulmarg. They said that the department have received feelers that the South African cricketer plans a week-long vacation here in hilly resort Gulmarag for Heli-Skiing which happens to be his second passion after Cricket.
Earlier the visit of Bollywood sensation Sunny Leone visit was kept secret which was a surprise for many. Pertinently, it will be his third visit to Kashmir. Rhodes visited the Valley for the first time in 2011 Heli-Skiing, during which he learnt Snowboarding from a local instructor. Latter he visited again in 2012. Worthy to mention, that Rhodes has termed Kashmir as ‘Love at First Sight’.
The department of tourism sees the presence of celebrities as a booster for the revival of affected tourism sector. Pertinently the department is trying to promote the winter tourism besides snow adventurous sports.
