Srinagar: A woman from Aligarh city of Uttar Pradesh Saturday emerged in Press Enclave Srinagar claiming that a doctor from Bagh-e-Mehtab has cheated her. She demanded justice and punishment for the accused doctor.

Noor-ul-Hudah, a doctor by profession told reporters that she entered into a matrimonial alliance with one Dr Shahnawaz Bashir four years ago at Aligharh Uttar Pradesh.

“I was shocked when I came to know that my husband was trying to enter into another marriage alliance in Jammu. I emerged at the marriage party and saved would-be-bride from getting ruined,” she said.

“I have come here from Aligarh to seek answers from my husband why he devastated my life,” she told news agency CNS.

“Despite committing a blunder and devastating my life, my husband has dared to publish a story against me in some newspapers alleging that I was not willing to accompany him to Kashmir. It is a malicious propaganda against me and he is uttering white lies,” Dr Noor-ul-Hudah said.

She refuted the allegations that she was not ready to come to Kashmir. “I was ready to accompany him but he was not willing to take me along. I have paid him Rs 6 lakh cash and I have proper bank statements. Please treat me as your sister and give me justice. I appeal Doctors Association to take cognizance of my sufferings and help me to come out from quagmire,” she said with moist eyes. (CNS)
