SRINAGAR: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has demanded that the cab driver Tariq Ahmed who returned bag full of cash and other valuables to the tourists recently, should be awarded by the government for such earnest act.
A Sumo driver, namely Tariq Ahmad, from South Kashmir returned a bag containing cash, gold and other items to a tourist family who had forgotten it in his cab while visiting Aharbal tourist spot. Tariq Ahmed put his hard efforts to trace the tourists and returned them their missing items including cash and gold.
Kadfeen said that such a great example of truthfulness and honesty is rare in the present materialistic world and that the person who has done such courageous act must be hailed and awarded.
Kadfeen said that one is aware about the hardships the people associated with tourism sector face everyday. And, according to him, providing an example of truthfulness and honesty, amid the mounting hardships, merits adulation from the society’s saner voices.
Kadfeen demanded that the government must award the cab driver and make him a face of Kashmir’s hospitality and generosity. He added that Tariq has send out a very positive message to the tourists visiting Kashmir- something that the lucrative advertisement campaigns couldn’t do. “If we leave Tariq unattended, it will be nonetheless a criminal act from our side. We cannot afford to let these heroes vanish into oblivion and remain unsung,” said Kadfeen. (PTK)
