SRINAGAR: Attestation-cum-Passing out Parade of 5th batch of recruit constables was held at Commando Training Centre (CTC) Lethpora here today. B.B. Vyas Advisor to Hon’ble Governor J&K State was the chief guest on the occasion.
The function was attend among others by ADsGP Abdul Ghani Mir, Munir Ahmad Khan, IsGP Jagjit Kumar, J.P. Singh, Surinder Kumar Gupta, Anand Jain, S.P. Pani, DIG (SKR) Amit Kumar and many other senior civil, Police and CAPF officers attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is fighting a proxy war for last 30 years and by its supreme sacrifices the force has earned respect of people of the country. He said that a number of Jawans and Officers of the force have scarified their precious lives for the security and integrity of the nation and are still struggling for peace in the state.
Director General of Police advised the passing out recruits to work with dedication for peace in the state. He said that police service is a noble service and the passing out recruits have a pride to join the family of Jammu and Kashmir Police for the service of the nation.
Principal CTC Lethpora Mohammad Arif Rishu in his welcome address gave a detailed resume of the trainees as well as training activities carried out in the centre. He said that besides basic training emphasis was laid on modern techniques of investigation and counter insurgency operations. He said that special lectures were delivered by the experts acquainting the trainees with modern policing.
Const. Abid Hussain was declared all round best and was decorated with Selection Grade Constable rank on the spot. Const. Ajit Kumar and Const. Abhimanyu Sharma were declared second and third all round best respectively. Const. Shabaz Ahmad, Const. Ashwani Kumar and Const. Muzamil Ahmad secured first position in Indoor, Outdoor and Range Classification respectively. (PTK)
