SRINAGAR: Despite the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) identified the private schools involved in the paper leak scam of class 11th; the JKBOSE is yet to take action against erring schools.
Sources said that the JKBOSE officials had identified couple of private schools who had indulged in ‘Paper leak’ of class 11th but JKBOSE have failed to take action against them.
Sources added that some of the officials in the board are, however, trying to hush the matter as they are believed to be in nexus with private schools.
Sources told PTK that some officials of the JKBOSE are delaying the process of investigation as they have apprehensive that it may expose them.
Pertinently Prof Veena Pandita, Chairperson of JK BOSE had ordered constitution of an inquiry committee to look into the paper leak case for the investigations.
She had also issued directions to all the Heads of the Institutions (Government as well as Private), to bring sealed packets of question papers received in the respective Sub / Branch and Divisional offices of JK BOSE from April 6.
“On the basis of physical verification of these packets, we will be able to ascertain fiddling with the sealed packs and consequent paper leakage”, said Veena Pandita in her directions. (PTK)
