Srinagar : The National and state flags were on Monday flying at half-mast on government buildings including Raj Bhavan, (the Governors house) and the civil secretariat in Jammu and Kashmir as a mark of respect to former Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar who passed away on last Sunday after battling for about an year the pancreatic cancer at Mumbai and USA hospitals.
Following an order from the General Administration Department, the National and state flags were on Monday flying half-mast on all government buildings including Raj Bhavan and civil secretariat in Jammu and all the official entertainment functions were cancelled across the state after the government announced one day state mourning as a mark of respect to late Parrikar.
