‘8.2% population in Jammu exposed to virus’

Srinagar: In order to have a more basic analysis of spread of viral infection of Coronavirus and to regulate the measures accordingly, the Jammu and Kashmir government has started analytical study through a survey namely Sero Survey.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), official spokesman of JK Government, Rohit Kansal said that in its fight against Corona virus, Government has started studies from ground level under Sero survey and a report for Jammu district has been received.
“Only 8.2% of the population is exposed to the virus,” he said, adding that a similar spread in rural areas is (8.8%) and in urban areas is (7.9%) in district Jammu and similar studies for other districts are being conducted and will get information very shortly.

Pertinently, the recent National Sero-Survey conducted by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) found that 27.3 percent population in Pulwama district are exposed to COVID-19 in October which was just 2 percent in May—(KNO)
