SRINAGAR: In the backdrop of the recent civilian killings in Kulgam, National Conference General secretary, Ali Mohammad Sagar said that the Government of India (GoI) should come forward and initiate a dialogue with the militants and the Hurriyat.
While talking to the media here in Srinagar, Sagar said, “NC has always stood against guns, whether it is of the the militants end or the India. Peace is the only solution, and for that, GoI will have to initiate dialogue with local militant outfits and separatist groups.”
Sagar was leading a rally held by NC against the civilian killings in Kulgam. He also stressed upon the overall situation of Kashmir. He said: “It has been more than four years and the tourism her is only taking a dip every day.”
“The youngsters of Kashmir are unhappy and the GoI needs to come forward and address their problems. If India wants to make Kashmir its crown, then dialogue is the only solution,” Sagar said. (PTK)
