Indo-Pak armies trade gunfire along LoC in twin Jammu districts

Jammu : Soon after the woman was killed along Line of Control (LoC) in Uri, the armies of India and Pakistan have exchanged gunfire in four sectors of Rajouri and Poonch districts.

Police officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that two sectors in Poonch district have got badly affected during the incident.

“Shahpur and adjoining areas of Poonch sector and Balakote forward in district’s Mendhar sub division are affected with shelling and firing on Line of Control,” officials said.

The firing and shelling started at around 07 Pm on Friday evening, they added.

Similarly, two sectors of LoC in Rajouri also got affected due to late evening firing and shelling. “Heavy firing and shelling started in Manjakote, Niaka Panjgrian areas of Line of Control as well as Keri sector area of Rajouri,” officials said.

They added that entire area of LoC in Keri Rajouri is affected with firing and shelling that started in late evening hours and is going on—(KNO)
