Indian Air Force displayed in Rajasthan :1.5 lakh people witnessed the might

India: Established on 8 October 1932, Indian Air Force celebrated its 86th Air Force Day, in all fanfare at the Hindon AFS in the capital recently. On 21st October, in continuance with its 86th anniversary the valiant air warriors of IAF displayed their best as a part of their outreach programme at the Air Force Station of Nal in Rajasthan for the civilians.

The programme titled, ‘Vayusena Pradarshani’ commenced from 0730h onwards on Sunday for the general public. Of around 1.5 lakh people who included civilians, armed force personnel, paramilitary forces and nearly 12000 children from different educational institutes in and around Bikaner witnessed this programme on Sunday morning.

On-ground the commoners were thrilled to see the spectacular display of Suryakiran Aerobatic Team ( SKAT ), Akash Ganga Sky Diving Team, Air Warrior Drill Team ( AWDT ) and live concert by Air Force Band. Whilst speaking to WG-CDR. Indranil Nandi, who’s the coordinator and the commanding officer of a combat unit of the station, explained saying, “Outreach programme such as these not only help in generating enthusiasm amongst the youth towards the IAF, but, also help us to build a bond with the civil populace in and around any camp. I am happy with the attendance for the event today and the enthusiasm is evident with such a huge civil audience turn-out”

In these nine decades IAF’s might in the skies has only increased in manifolds. The year 2018 remained a fruitful one for the air-warriors, as they, scaled heights of success in the field of sports and adventure. Some of the wins, includes, one Gold, two Silver and four Bronze during international events. The nation as a whole and the Indian Air Force in particular was extremely impressed of these accolades earned, and, exemplary showcase of skill and capabilities, at Ex-PitchBlack in recent times.

An IAF publicity stall was also mounted at the venue in Nal to motivate the aspiring youth and children of the state to opt for Indian Air Force as a career option.
