Srinagar: Following the termination of four teachers for their unauthorized absence, the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Tuesday sacked two more teachers from their services.
According to the one of the DSEK orders, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a teacher (Name Withheld) was appointed in the department in district Anantnag and subsequently posted in BHS Singhpora on contractual basis on 24-10-2006 and regularized by department on 09-06-2015.
“Prior to availing the benefit of her regularization as teacher she remained un-authorizedly absent from her legitimate duties from 09-09-2014. The contractual teacher was provided opportunities to resume her duties, but she failed to do so, which indicates that she is not interested in working more in the department,” it reads.
The issue was placed before the designated committee in its meeting held on 27-10-2021 and after examining the case the committee disengaged her from services with immediate effect from 09/09/2014.
“Therefore, pursuant to the decision of the committee, the teacher is hereby disengaged and removed from the service of the state with immediate effect,” reads the DSEK order.
Similarly, another teacher was also terminated from the services by the School Education Department for remaining absent unauthorizedly.
