Srinagar : Welcoming removal of chairman Jammu and Kashmir Bank (JKB), Parvez Ahmad for his involvement in the illegal appointments, state spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Altaf Thakur Monday urged Governor Administration led by Satya Pal Malik to handover the investigation to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Thakur asd per KNO Correspondent said that JKB is state’s premier financial institution and as such it is the responsibility of everyone to ensure accountability in its functioning.
“It is good that Parvez has been removed. He had crossed all limits of nepotism, violated norms at random just to pave way for blue eyed candidates. Besides violating norms, he has also resorted to huge financial irregularities. The appointments made by the bank during his tenure should be cancelled,” he said.
“He should be arrested at an earliest as there is every chance that he may influence the enquiry being conducted by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB),”he added.
Thakur said that his party would keep on raising its voice against the irregularities done during National Conference (NC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Congress regime. “In violation of norms, not only the blue eyed candidates but also those who had crossed the prescribed age limit were also appointed,” he added.(KNO)
