Srinagar: The 1992-batch IAS officer Ashok Kumar Parmar who flagged alleged corruption has stated that he is intending to take legal action against some sections of the media for publishing defamatory reports about him.
Mr Parmar in the recent past had accused Government of Jammu and Kashmir of corruption. In a letter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) he had alleged that the J&K administration defied the advice of the Finance and Law departments and amended a multi-crore contract midway to favor a private insurance company.
The MHA initiated an inquiry against him for going public.
Several media outlets have been critical of him after his revelation.
Ashok Kumar Parmar as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust took to the social media platform ‘X’ and stated that he intends to take legal action against the media for publishing defamatory reports by projecting him as an inefficient & controversial IAS officer without verifying facts to damage his reputation and dignity.
