Srinagar : Inspector General of Police Kashmir range S P Pani on Saturday said that gunfight in Babagund village of Handwara is continuing for the second consecutive day and so far two CRPF men including an Inspector and two cops of Jammu and Kashmir police have been killed.
As per Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent, talking to reporters after visiting the gunfight site, IGP Pani said, “Two CRPF men including an Inspector and two policemen have been killed in the encounter which is still going on. We will share more details if and when available about the gunfight going on in Babagund village of Handwara.”
Earlier a civilian was reported killed in the gunfight after the cordon and search operation by the government forces sparked off protests and clashes in the area. (KNS)
