Srinagar: Authorities are deputing non-local Hajj trainers (Khadim-ul- Hujaj) for Kashmiri pilgrims.
A Hajj Trainer is supposed to be a government employee besides have taken once Hajj pilgrimage. He should also possess a couple of important certificates.
Pilgrims from Kashmir alleged that they are getting non-local Hajj trainers that add to their problems. They told news agency CNS that State Hajj Committee has miserably failed to train Khadim-ul- Hujaj. “They employee non-local Khadim-ul- Hujaj mostly from Bihar which is adding to difficulties of pilgrims mostly uneducated ones,” they said.
They alleged that authorities have selected some blue eyed persons as Khadim-ul- Hujaj which is really very unfortunate.
“It’s irony that even those persons have been selected as Khadim-ul- Hujaj who have never taken any Hajj pilgrimage. Some Khadim-ul- Hujaj have only performed Umrah. How can these people guide naïve pilgrims during Hajj,” they questioned.
Efforts to contact Executive Officer Hajj Committee didn’t materialize. (CNS)
