Gunmen attack cash van in Shopian,two guards killed

SRINAGAR: Two security guards were killed after unknown gunmen attacked a cash van in Keller area of Shopian in south Kashmir on Monday.

Sources said that gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on the van at Poju Keller today afternoon, leaving two security guards wounded.

The injured bank guards were shifted to District Hospital where they succumbed.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Shopian Dr Rasheed Para confirmed the deaths.

It was not immediately known how much cash was looted from the vehicle.
