Srinagar: Grand Mufti of Kashmir, Nasir-ul-Islam, has raised serious concerns over the activities of certain individuals posing as religious scholars and preachers on social media.

He also appealed to law enforcement agencies to take immediate action against those using fake accounts to spread misinformation and incite sectarian violence. “Social media should not be misused to manipulate public sentiments and spread baseless propaganda in the name of religion,” he added. The Grand Mufti further urged religious scholars and community leaders to work together in fostering unity and discouraging any attempt to sow divisions among people.
