SRINAGAR : Asking BJP top leadership to stop conspiracies against Kashmiris, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rashid has accused Sang-Parivar of creating hatred against Kashmiris all over India.
In a statement issued today Er Rashid said that threatening and thrashing Kashmiri students and businessmen in various states is nothing new, but asking them publicly to leave India is a confession that J&K is not India’s integral part.
Er Rashid said “Had Kashmiris been truly Indian citizens, nobody would have dared to issue deadlines, asking Kashmiri students to leave India. But the level of animosity against Kashmiris has cross its all limits and Kashmiris are in real sense being treated like refugees and illegal non-residents in India.”
Er Rashid reminded top BJP leaders including home minister Raj Nath Singh of his appeals made to Kashmiri students last year, asking them to end the strike and open educational institutions in Kashmir, but this year the same government is closing down the educational institutions.
Er Rashid said, “it is strange that last year New Delhi and its extension wings in Kashmir would beg Kashmiris to open schools, so as to give a sense of normalcy in state and this year the same government is closing down educational institutions to restore normalcy in Kashmir. It is obvious that neither has government any concrete answer to the mass resistance, nor does it know what to do. The reason for government’s confusion is seeing J&K through the prism of law and order and ignoring that J&K is an internationally recognized political dispute, whose resolution has no shortcuts accept granting Kashmiris the right to self-determination”.
