Govt appoints Nodal Officers to enhance health sector coordination, provide better patient care

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed nodal officers to enhance the health sector coordination and provide better patient care.

As per an order of Health and Medical Education Department, Secretary Health and Medical Education Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah will be nodal officer of Jammu and Srinagar districts

“To enhance the monitoring and resolution of health sector issues, improve patient care, and ensure better coordination between field offices/institutions and the Administrative Department; the officers are hereby appointed as Nodal Officers/Supervisory Officers for the respective districts,” reads the order.

As per the order, Amarjeet Singh Special Secretary will be Nodal officer for Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri and Reasi districts. Riyaz Ahmad Shah, Director Finance has been appointed as nodal officer of Pulwama, Shopian, Bandipora and Ganderbal districts.

Dr Desh Raj Baghat Additional Secretary to the government has been appointed as nodal officer for Kulgam, Budgam and Samba districts. Chand Kishor Sharma additional secretary to the government has been appointed as the nodal officer for Doda, Kupwara, Kuthua and Ramban districts.

Rajeev Bhushan, joint director planning has been appointed as the nodal officer for Kishtwar, Anantnag and Udhampur districts.

The nodal officers as per order will be assisted by different officers of the department. “The Nodal Officers will serve as the single point of contact for field offices/institutions to raise issues with the Administrative Department. The Nodal officer will obtain necessary document from the concerned subordinate field offices/ institutions of the Department for appraisal of the Secretary H&ME Department on regular basis, and monitor/follow up on these issues to ensure timely resolution,” reads the order—(KNO)
