‘Knowing the fault lies in them, Govt is adamant to probe’
SRINAGAR :Taking a dig on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, National Conference senior leader, Ali Mohammad Sagar, said the current situation of Valley while dealing with the civilians during encounters is most unfortunate part of the current regime.
Sagar while talking to the PTK said “Leave the militants aside they kill locals. They harass them.” He told that the CM has recently claimed that they will win the hearts of local militants and will save people from collateral damage, but she is not able to save civilians, how could she save militants.
He said that the Government should take serious step to prevent local militancy, if it is continues, it is most unfortunate for all of us. He said, “Even i raised the issue of damaging public property and killing local militants in the assembly”.
He said that National Conference pressurized the government to have time bound probes over the killings in Kashmir. Sagar said the government is adamant as they know that the fault lies in them.
Commenting on today’s hajin encounter where scores of civilians were injured when security forces chased them at the encounter site, Sagar said people only come on roads when forces oppress. Pertinently scores of people were injured in Kulgam and Hajin encounter besides two civilians, five militants were killed at both places.
