KANGAN : The recent major transfer order issued by the Directorate of school education has allegedly deprived the Government Girls schools in Kangan without a female teaching staff.
According to the official figures, there are 48 middle schools including six Girls middle schools in Kangan educational zone.
The inhabitants of Kangan area said that the six Girls middle schools in the zone have now maximum number of male teachers. They said that the girl students studying in these schools should have maximum female staff as per rules. They alleged that the directorate has violated the maximum criteria of female staff for these girls’ schools.
They added that according to norms, there should be equal number of male and female teaching staff as per the ratio of male female students studying in the schools, adding that while in case of girl students the directorate should have posted significant female staff in these schools.
The Girls school in the zone includes GMS Arhama, GMS Kangan, GMS Chhatergul, GMS Akhal,GMS Barwula and GMS Katchmbal have been deprived of the female teaching staff.
“The Girls middle school of our locality have only one female teacher and six male teachers for 70 female students and 30 male students studying in the school”, locals of Barwula kangan told PTK.
Mohammadd Abdullah ZEO Kangan said that they are monitoring the situation after recent transfer policy and are discussing the things issues. He said that the matter will be resolved as per norms”.
G. A. Mir SDM Kangan told PTK that, the issue is genuine and the same will be raised with concerned authorities.
Earlier, Education Minister Altaf Bukhari and Director education had said that the genuine grievances regarding transfer of teachers would be considered.
