Baramulla : A 16-year-old girl drowned in river Jhelum in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday evening.
Sources told KNO that a girl identified as Rubeena Bano,16, daughter of Anwar Shah resident of Dachi Uri drowned in river Jhelum this evening. The girl was slipped into Jehlum while she was grazing the cattle.
Police was informed immediately and search has been launched to trace the body iof a girl, witnesses told KNO.
Pertinently, this is the second such episode in district Baramulla in last three days. On Sunday, a boy also drowned is Jehlum while his body is yet to be fished out.(KNO)
