Ghadeer Conference Organized by Inder Cultural Forum Sonawari Kashmir

Bandipora: Under the banner of Inder Cultural Forum Sonawari Kashmir, a grand conference titled “Ghadeer Conference” was held at the central Imambara Bona Mohalla Inderkote, Sumbal in celebration of Eid al-Ghadir. The conference was attended by renowned poets, scholars, and writers from across the Kashmir Valley, along with a significant number of local residents. The event was presided over by the famous and popular poet and writer of Jammu and Kashmir, Professor Muhammad Zaman Azurda, while special guests included the President of Adbi Markaz Kamraz Muhammad Amin Bhat, Hujjatul Islam Syed Arshad Hussain Musavi, and renowned writer Professor Shad Ramzan.

During the conference, the speakers elaborated on various aspects of the philosophy of Ghadir, and the poets paid tribute to the first Imam, Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS), through their poetic expressions and eulogies. On this occasion, the President of Inder Cultural Forum, Saleem Yousuf Chilkey, stated that the organization has been holding the “Ghadir Conference” for decades. He emphasized that the Inder Cultural Forum not only works for the promotion of literature and culture but also plays a significant role in maintaining mutual unity and harmony among different sections of society. This is why people from all walks of life in Jammu and Kashmir participate in these gatherings, be it the Ghadir Conference or the Hussaini (AS) Day, presenting a clear example of Kashmiriyat.

Other poets, writers, and intellectuals who participated in the gathering included retired Deputy Chief Education Officer Sheikh Ghulam Muhammad, Syed Tahir Musavi, Nisar Gulzar, Syed Tahir Safvi, Syed Akhtar Hussain Mansoor, Saleem Yousuf, Farooq Sambli, Ibrahim Sambli, Gulfam Naugami, Bashir Ajasi, Syed Asadullah Safvi, Abdul Rasheed Nisar, Waseem Ali Kazimi, Syed Masood Shadab, Ghulam Hussain Haqnawaz, Syed Mehdi Hassan, Zahoor Mehdi, Syed Rizwan Rizvi, Majid Rabatari, Muntazir Haigami, Mir Hilal, Ghulam Muhammad Gowhar, Sajid Sajjad, Mehtab Manzoor, Syed Muhammad Madni, Ghulam Ali Pamposh, Mir Rafiq, Muhammad Afzal Hashmi, Hasan Sahil, Shaukeen Sonami, and Majid Abbas.(GNS)
