SRINAGAR : Clashes broke out in Palhallan Village of north Kashmir when security forces raided Tantray Mohalla to make reportedly some arrests.
Reports said that immediately after the security forces reached the area, people took to streets to confront the raid. Amid anti-India and pro-freedom slogans, protesters pelted stones on security forces.
The security men resort to cane charge, tear gas shelling to disperse the protesting villagers. Reports also added that pellet guns were used against the protesters leading to the pellet injuries to three persons.
However at least eight persons were injured in the clashes among seven were treated locally, one of the injured identified as Muhammad Amir was shifted to Sub-district hospital Pattan for treatment.
