Militants on Friday afternoon attacked an army camp in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, leaving a soldier injured.
A police official said that the militants opened fire on the army camp of 34 RR stationed in Mantribugh village around 12:15 PM.
The militants, according to the official, immediately escaped into the nearby apple orchards.
He said an army soldier sustained minor injuries in the attack.
A search operation has been launched to nab the attackers, he said.
Last night, militants attacked an army camp in Nader area of Tral, leaving a soldier dead and another wounded.
