Baramulla : Five passengers were injured when an Alto car in which they were travelling in fell into deep gorge at Gulmarg road near S-mode on Thursday evening.
Reports reaching to KNO said that an Alto K10 bearing Ch-No 538425, while coming back from Gulmarg towards Tangmarg fell down into the gorge at S-mode.
An official told KNO that the driver along with the passengers in car received injuries and were shifted to Sub district hospital Tangmarg, where from they were referred to SKIMS for further treatment.
“But all the injured are stable,” the official told KNO. An eyewitness told KNO that the driver lost control on the the vehicle due to which the vehicle fell down into deep gorge.
Police officials told KNO that a police team along with the the locals present at the spot immediately started rescue operation to rescue the passengers.
The injured have been identified as Towseef Ahmad Dar S/O Sanaullah Dar (driver) 27 years, Fayaz Ahmed Dar S/O Ghulam Mohd Dar, age 29 years, Manzoor Ahmed Dar S/O Ghulam Mohd Dar, age about 30 years, Abdul Wajid dar S/O Ghulam Mohiuddin Dar, age 29 years and Furkan Ahmed Dar S/O Adbul Wajid age about 09 years.
“All the injured are residents of Wadwan area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district,” an official said.(KNO)
