Five OGWs arrested in Sopore

Sopore : Police on Monday evening claimed to have arrested five active Over Ground Workers (OGW) in Tujjar village of Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Police sources as per wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that five OGWs were arrested along with incriminating materials in Tujjar village Sopore.

The five OGWs identified as Arif Billa, son of Abdul Ahad Sheikh of Nandpura Moh Tujjar, Sartaj Ahmad Sheikh, son of Muhammad Ismail Sheikh of Sheikhpura Moh Tujjar, Nissar Ahmad Lone, son of Ghulam Ahmad Lone of Khan Moh Tujjar, Muhammad Murtaza Bhat, son of Atiqulla Bhat of Sheikhpura Moh Tujjar and Faiyaz Ahmad of Tujjar.

Police officials said that one UBGL, one UBGL Grenade, five hand grenades were recovered from their possession, adding that a case under FIR number 03/2020 under section 427/307 IA ACT 3/4 Explosive Substance Act was registered in Police Station Bomai Sopore and investigation has been started –(KNO)
