First Bakery, Food & Hospitality Expo in Srinagar, Div Com Kashmir inaugurates 3 day trade festival

Srinagar, June 07: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole on Tuesday inaugurated the ‘first’ three day bakery, food & Hospitality expo in Srinagar in which industrialists, manufacturers of bakery, and food processing machinery from different parts of the country participated.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole on the occasion appreciated the organisers and said that the event is an opportunity for bakers, and food processing unit holders to directly interact with the machine manufactures.

“The purpose of the exhibitions is to create awareness and today’s three day exhibition is an opportunity for the stakeholders associated with bakery and confectionery to see the machines they require in front of them”, P K Pole said.

The orgainsers said that around 50 stalls have been installed in which industrialists manufacturing the various machines for Bakery, confectionary and cold chains will be displaying their machines directly with the buyers.

On the occasion BJP leader Asif Masoodi who was among the guests in his address congratulated the organizers of the exhibition for holding the three day fair.

Speaking to the Media, Masoodi said that he is happy on seeing the fest, as that will give an opportunity to the bakers of the valley to interact directly with the machine manufacturing units without any interference, but said that due to the non-availability of ground the event was held on a private piece of land.

Umar Mukthar President of the Kashmir bakers and confectioners association said that he is rejoiced to see the event happening which has been in pipeline since the year 2018.
