SRINAGAR: Protest erupted in Hiranagar Tehsil of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday after an eight-year-old girl Asifa Bano, who had gone missing a week ago, was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

The family and relatives of the girl staged a protest, demanding a swift investigation into the case and arrest of the culprit. Reports said that the minor girl was found dead under the mysterious circumstances in Rasana village of Hiranagar, Kathua.

However, the dead body has been shifted to district hospital kathua for medico-legal formalities and special investigation team of police has been pressed to probe the case. (PTK)
