Srinagar : People have appreciated Ram Munshi Bagh Police Station for enforcing lock down in letter and spirit. They said that the role of police is appreciable in the current scenario who not only throughout the day check and stop vehicle but also ensure people don’t venture out unnecessarily.
Policemen from Ram Munshi Bagh police station were seen stopping the vehicles who were violating the lockdown orders.
A local from Sonawar area of Srinagar said that putting up barricades and checking motorists moving around on the roads without any reason, policemen are ensuring that people stay at home. “Despite heated arguments with some motorists for not allowing them to travel, the police are handling the situation carefully,” he said.
“The basic job, preventing people from venturing out of their homes without proper reason, might sound easy. But in the city, as we have been seeing since lockdown, there are many who cannot resist the urge to roam around, and are going around without valid reason defying constant warning from the police and authorities,” said a police officer to KNT.
