Encounter ranges in North Kashmir

Srinagar : An encounter between militants and security forces has started in north Kashmir’s Sopore on Wednesday evening.

Reports reached to VMS, a joint team of army’s 22RR, SOG and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Brath Kalan after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area.

While hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering an encounter, a police official told VMS.

Sources told Valley Media Service that two to three militants reportedly trapped.

Mobile internet service has been also suspended. Exchange of firing was going on when this report filed.(VMS)
