Srinagar : Eight more patients who were tested positive for COVID-19, died in the last 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, thus taking the toll of deaths due to the deadly virus to 691 in the Union Territory.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that eight patients who died on Saturday include a 41-year-old woman from Alamgari Bazar Srinagar, a 65-year-old-woman from Kanipora Budgam, a 56-year-old man from Shaikh Zoo Ganderbal, a 75-year-old man from Khangund Tral a 75-year-old man from Mandoora Tral, a 68-year-old patient from Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, a 65-year-old woman from Mendhar Poonch and a 65-year-old woman from Bhaderwah Doda.
An official from SKIMS Soura said that a patient from Alamgari Bazar Srinagar who was admitted on 19 August died on Saturday.
An official from CD hospital said that a patient from Kanipora Budgam who was admitted on 14 August died on Saturday.
An official from SMHS said that a patient from Ganderbal who was admitted with Chronic Kidney Disease died on Saturday and was tested positive through Rapid Antigen Test.
An official from Tral said a patient from Khangund Tral who was admitted a few days before and kept in administrative quarantine died on Friday while a patient from Mandoora Tral who was also in quarantine died on Saturday.
An official from Jammu division said that a patient from Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, a patient from Mendhar Poonch and a patient from Bhaderwah Doda who all were tested positive died at GMC Jammu, Chandigarh Hospital and Bhaderwah respectively.
With eight more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 691 including 631 from Kashmir division and 60 from Jammu division—(KNO)
