Early school timing for little children: Parents sound alarm over potential harm

Srinagar: Parents of young children are up in arms against the early school timing, citing its detrimental effects on their kids’ physical and mental well-being. They claim that waking up early is ruining their children’s lives and dreams.

The current school timing, which requires children as young as five to wake up before dawn, has been criticized for being unrealistic and harmful. Parents argue that this early start affects their children’s sleep patterns, leading to fatigue, decreased concentration, and a lack of enthusiasm for learning.

“It’s like torturing our children,” said a concerned parent. “They can’t even get proper sleep, let alone enjoy their childhood.”

Experts agree, stating that early school timing can have long-term consequences on children’s health, academic performance, and overall development.

Statistics reveal that 80% of parents struggle to wake up their children on time while 70% of children show signs of fatigue and decreased concentration.

Scores of parents told that the school timing should be revised in the interest of the kids.

Syed Rashid – one of the parents said that early school timing for little angles is a recipe for disaster and we need to rethink this policy.

Parents hoped that school Education Department would revise school timing as soon as possible. [KNT]
