Absence of public transport, Health Facility irk thousands of families, RTO Kashmir assures action says, Traffic will be Resumed if it were there.

Residents of Durbal, Hanjik, Rakhy Arath, and Shariefabad have been suffering due to lack of transport and health facilities. These villages are the part of Budgam Constituency and have been victims of negligence and administrative apathy since ages according to the locals.
As the government has unveiled the electric buses on some routes of the summer capital, the Residents of Bemina, Hanjik, and Shariefabad have been demanding normal public transport. since Lok sabha Election 2019, the buses went to other districts for campaigning then never Resumed on Durbal route.
“We did get the buses from Jahangeer chock but as soon as Lok sabha elections took place the public transport disappeared on our route, since then we knocked every door of the administration but they turn deaf ears to our demands” Iqbal khan, a local resident
The students and patients suffer most in these areas. Neither there are any health facility nor bus service is Resumed even after Lok Sabha elections are over. “our patients die on the way because we are unable to take them hospital on time due to the absence of public transport” Gh Mohamad a resident of Hanjik.
The students claim that they often miss classes as we they have to walk on foot miles to reach Bemina Bus stop where they get buses for college ” students often miss their first classes, as it takes us lot of time to cover the distance on foot to reach the colleges, even some time we miss examinations in absence of buses” Razia, Women College student.
The locals Allege that many times the buses were made run by the order of Transport Commissioner and RTO on Durbal route but often we see the bus drivers violate administrative orders and omit the route by their own choice.
RTO Kashmir Ikramullah Tak said that the transport will run if it were there. The locals urge the administration to resume Durbal Transport service on humanitarian ground.
