Duo Held With Narcotics in Anantnag

Anantnag : An alleged drug-peddler duo was on Saturday apprehended on recovery of narcotics from its possession in Batingoo area of Anantnag district.

A police official told that a team led by SHO Anantnag Mir Massarat intercepted a two-wheeler – Scooty – bearing registration number JK-03G 4056 mounted by two persons. On searches of the duo, the team recovered charas weighing 800 grams, from their possession, the official said.

A case FIR 334/21, under sections 8/20,29 of NDPS Act, has been registered and further investigations taken up in this regard, the official added. (GNS)
