Baramulla: Jammu and Kashmir Drug Department Baramulla on Saturday cancelled licenses of several pharmacies for violation of Drugs and Cosmetic Act.
Reports said that on the directions of Assistant Drug Controller Baramulla Muhammad Bashir, Drug Department Baramulla constituted a special team of senior Drug Control officers comprising Drug Control Officer HQ Yousuf Mohu-ud-din, Drug Control Officer Pattan/Tangmarg Shabir Pandit and Drug Control Officer Feroz Ahmad Bhat.
The Team raided different areas of Baramulla district Including Vizer, Wagora, Srakwara, Saloosa, Uthra, Nowpora and other villages where they found various chemists violating the Drugs and Cosmetic Act and according the team suspended their licenses.
Such raids will continue till these chemists not mend their ways, said an official to CNS.
